Pigeons have been seen flying around us for a very long time. They probably arrived here on their own with out our involvement; arriving and evolving to survive in our environment.
Oddly - pigeons are NOT native to the US. They were brought here form Europe in the 1600s! Make sure to check your words for stuff like this with a quick google "are pigeons native to the US?" :D +1
